Commercial ASEL Certificate Requirements

Eligibility
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language
- Must pass a written exam
- Must pass a practical test (checkride)
Flight Experience Requirements
- 250 Total time
- 100 hours in powered aircraft, of which 50 must be in airplanes
- 100 hour of Pilot-In-Command flight time, which includes at least -
- 50 Hours must be in airplanes
- 50 Hours cross-country of which 10 must be in airplanes
- 20 Hours of training in the areas of operation for a commercial certificate
- 10 Hours of instrument training, 5 of which must be in a single-engine airplane
- 10 Hours of training in a complex airplane
- 2 Hour day VFR cross-country
- 2 Hour night VFR cross-country
- 3 Hours in a single-engine airplane in preparation for the practical test within 60 days prior to the practical test.
- 10 Hours of solo flight in a single-engine airplane which includes:
- One cross-country of at least 300 nm
- 5 Hours in night VFR conditions with 10 takeoffs and landings at an airport with an operating control tower
