Eligibility

• Must be at least 17 years of age
• Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
• Must pass a written exam
• Must pass a practical test (checkride)

Flight Experience Requirements

• 40 Total hours
  • 20 Hours from an authorized instructor
    • 3 Hours of cross-country experience
    • 3 Hours of night flight training in a multi-engine airplane
      • One cross-country flight
      • 10 takeoffs and landings
    • 3 Hours of instrument training
    • 3 Hours in preparation for the practical test within 90 days prior to the test
  • 10 Hours of solo flight
    • 5 Hours of solo cross-country
    • 1 solo cross-country of at least 250 nautical miles
    • Three takeoffs and landings at an airport with an operating control tower
